Our client is the consumer finance business unit of a major international Retail and Convenience Company. A team of 30 colleagues based in Zurich are helping customers in Switzerland to arrange their personal financing needs. They are providing digital consumer loans and point of sale financing solutions to end-customers and merchants. For the client the team supplies digital banking software for the bank of tomorrow. It focuses on solutions in transactional banking, mobile banking, personal finance management, digital advisory services and customer engagement banking.
Your Mission
As Product Owner you will be instrumental in building the client‘s journey to offer customers the best digital consumer finance experience. Your ability to manage complexity and translate a compelling product vision into epics, features and user stories will be a key success factor for our client to become the best digital consumer finance specialist in Switzerland.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize features to ensure work aligns with product strategy
- Develop detailed product feature specifications and user stories. Ensure they’re clearly understood by the development teams
- Derive story maps from epics and features to provide a concise and transparent outlook for developers and stakeholders
- Actively mitigate roadblocks impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals
- Lead the product-release plans in alignment with DevOps and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
- Work closely with stakeholders and product management to analyze needs, develop a product roadmap and maintain a product backlog according to business value
- Serve as the product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product
Your Qualifications and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, Masters is a plus
- Technology background or solid understanding
- In-depth experience with agile processes and principles
- Cross-functional mindset with understanding of product requirements stemming from various dimensions (e.g. user personas, regulation, technology)
- Understanding of business value around features
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs
- Proficiency with applicable work management technology and tools is a plus
- Fluent in English
